PixiJS Phase 1.1 — Visual Parity

  • PixiJS runways now match Canvas 2D: thick surface, center dashes, threshold markers, ILS cones, approach/departure lines, direction arrows
  • Text labels via PIXI.Text — destination names (BOS, ATL), waypoint labels, runway names, heading info, HOLD/TAXI/KJFK labels
  • Fixed holding pattern: tilted ellipse with dashed stroke, matching the Canvas 2D racetrack shape
  • Compass labels (N/S/E/W) rendered via PixiJS
  • Taxiway with connectors rendered via PixiJS
  • Mountain labels and MIN altitude text via PixiJS

  • Name entry on game over — save scores without login, name remembered across sessions

Aircraft Silhouettes & Landing Fix

  • Aircraft type icons: unique silhouettes for heavy jets, medium jets, military fighters, cargo planes, and ultralights
  • Toggle button in game header to switch between plane silhouettes and classic arrow icons
  • Fixed landing descent bug: aircraft now gradually descend from 1000ft to touchdown proportional to remaining distance
  • Smoother glideslope with capped descent rate — no more instant altitude drops after land instruction
